Frequently Asked Questions

1. What should I wear?

There is no official dress code for performances, so wear what you're comfortable with. Some people like to dress up for a night out, but it is not necessary! Please note that it can be cold in the theatre, so dress accordingly. We also ask that you refrain from wearing hats or tall hairstyles so you do not obscure the view of patrons behind you.

2. Where can I park?

Parking is available around the entire business complex, including handicap reserved spots, and is all free! All parking spots are an easy walking distance to any venue in the Theatre Raleigh Arts complex.

3. When should I arrive?

We suggest you arrive 30-45 minutes before the scheduled show time. This gives ample you time to park, grab food and drink from concessions, and enjoy the pre-show performers and entertainment before our Main Stage shows.

4. What should I know about theatre etiquette?

Before the show starts, you are welcome to take photos of the stage and set, as well as chat in the theatre. However, when the lights go down, please silence your phones, refrain from texting and calling, and do not take any photos. During the show, keep clapping and cheering to after musical numbers or during scene transitions, and be respectful to both the performers and your fellow audience members by keeping quiet. When curtain call arrives, you are welcome to take photos, and after the performance concludes you're free to use your phone and chat as you wish!

5. Is Theatre Raleigh accessible?

Yes! We have dedicated wheelchair seating, accessible bathrooms, and dedicated ASL interpreted performances. Please see our Accessibility page under Plan Your Visit for more information.

6. What about food and beverage?

We have multiple options! At the theatre, we have concessions available before the show and during intermission, including a selection of alcoholic beverages, candy, and popcorn. Not only that, but we have our own cafe! Plan to visit The Green Room before the performance, for a healthy snack from local vendors and delicious coffee, plus a great artsy atmosphere.
