Intro to Theatre (Adults 18+)
Explore. Learn. Play. Discover the magic of theater!
This engaging, low-pressure class is perfect for older teens and adults with disabilities who want to explore the world of theater in a lighthearted and educational setting. Whether you’re just starting your theater journey or looking to build a stronger foundation, this class offers a welcoming space to learn, grow, and enjoy the arts—no stage experience required!
What We’ll Do:

Learn basic theater terms and stage direction

Explore the history and traditions of theater

Play theater games to build confidence and creativity

Work on social-emotional, team building and communication skills

Foster a love of storytelling and self-expression
This class is focused on learning and fun, with no performance pressure. It’s a great fit for students who want to participate in theater without the commitment of a full production, or for those who are considering joining a future show.
Students enrolled in Peter Pan Jr. are also encouraged to take this class to deepen their understanding of theater and enhance their performance experience! Come play, learn, and connect through the joy of theater arts!
Class Times: Mondays, 4:30-5:30 pm starting Feb 9th (No class on Presidents Day, Feb 16th)

Performance Class: Peter Pan Jr. (Adults 18+)
Get ready to take off to Neverland! This high-energy theater class is designed for older teens and adults with disabilities who are ready to take the stage in a fun, fully produced performance of Peter Pan Jr. In this dynamic and supportive program, participants will dive into the world of Peter Pan and Wendy by singing, dancing, and acting their way through the beloved songs and scenes from this classic musical. This class is perfect for performers who are ready to take on a bigger commitment and shine brightly in a full-scale production.
Class Details:

Ages: 18+ adults

Rehearsals: 2 hours each week leading up to tech week

Performances: A fully staged production with professional lighting, sound, costumes, and sets.
What to Expect:

Weekly rehearsals focusing on vocal performance, choreography, and character development

Shadows and individualized support for participants who may need additional assistance

A focus on teamwork, confidence-building, social-emotional learning and theater skills that last far beyond the stage

Young Artists Intro to Theatre (Children 7-12)
Join us for an exciting journey to the stage in our inclusive and supportive theater class designed especially for young students with disabilities! Open to performers aged 7 to 12, this program offers a welcoming space for all ability levels to explore the magic of theater. Whether you’re just starting your theater journey or looking to build a stronger foundation, this class offers a welcoming space to learn, grow, and enjoy the arts—no stage experience required!

Important Information for Enrollment
Our drama classes are designed to provide a safe, creative, and inclusive environment for students with disabilities to express themselves, build confidence, and have fun experiencing the magic of the arts. To ensure the safety and success of all participants, we respectfully ask that parents and guardians review the following enrollment criteria:
Toilet Training Requirement: All students must be fully toilet trained to participate in the program. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate students who are not yet independent in this area of self-care.
Behavioral Expectations: For the safety and well-being of all students and staff, we are only able to accept students who do not exhibit violent or aggressive behaviors. This includes physical aggression toward others, self-injurious behavior, or severe disruptive actions.
We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us create a positive, respectful, and enriching experience for every participant. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your child's specific needs, please don’t hesitate to contact us before completing the registration.

Meet the Instructors

Bridget Sobranes
is a creative arts professional, advocate, and co-founder of Inclusive Arts, a theater initiative rooted in inclusion, creativity, compassion, and community. Originally from Niagara Falls, NY, Bridget’s journey in the arts began in childhood, where she discovered her spark for performance and her dream to make the arts accessible to people of all abilities.
Since moving to North Carolina’s Triangle area in 2009, Bridget has worked as a developmental therapist, behaviorist, youth mentor, theater director, and classroom teacher. Over the course of ten years in education, she also served as a Creative Arts Director specializing in special education. Her passion for neurodiversity and inclusive education drives her mission to build spaces where every voice is valued and every story has room to unfold—a vision reflected in every project she touches.
A theater enthusiast to the core, Bridget loves to act, sing, dance, and direct. Her artistic style is as diverse as the audiences she serves. With over 20 years of directorial experience, she brings a dynamic blend of artistic passion and inclusive leadership to every production. Her directorial credits span beloved shows, each one a testament to her commitment to joyful, accessible storytelling infused with themes of love, purpose, and belonging.
Through Inclusive Arts, Bridget invites collaborators, clients, and community members to engage in meaningful creative work that uplifts, challenges, and connects. Her guiding mantra—“You are kind. You are unique. You are creative. You are able.”—captures the heart of her mission: to ensure every individual experiences the joy and fulfillment that the arts bring.
